Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snow blower coil, needle hits, blower coil

How do you test the coil on a tecumseh snow blower ignition ...with points??  From what I can make out the number is 430454 on the coil.

   Usually A Voltmeter testing in the 40V ranges If the needle hits and pegs 40V the coil is good Place the leads to the points then one to the block and so on.
if your reading volts below 40V open the range to 100V and check it to see what the range is if it is less then 35V replace the coil
