Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Troy Bilt self prop. lawn mower, fuel cap, troy bilt

It starts to start then putters out. I've replaced the gasoline. What else can I try?

Check the carb mounting bolts, are they tight?  Clean the tank and fuel line.  Clean the fuel cap vent. Remove carb and disassemble it and clean it.  Blow compressed air through all passages.  Install new needle and seat and all gaskets.  Install new air filter.  Hope this info helps.
