Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Toro Lawnmower, oil plug, winter storage
QuestionHave a Toro walk behind Model 20017 about 4 years old ( My daughters ).
Hard to start when cold. Have changed oil - plug and air filter. I do suspect that she's not maintaing it at winter storage time.
Any suggestions? Would you know the initial setting for the Carb.jet?
Thank you
AnswerBob
This Toro has 2 adjusting screws 1 for the idle and 1 for the high idle.
Make sure that your primer bulb is working ,listen or look in the carb when you pump it so that you hear the fuel going in, The standard adjustments to start off would 1 1/2 turns from the off position. Be carefully not to tighten the needle down too hard just till it seats you can damage the tip.If all else fails then the carb needs cleaning.
