Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): hooking up a throttle cable, throttle cable, go kart

Question

engine Do you happen to know how i would hook up a throttle cable to a small engine to use on a go kart trike? Its an old edger engine.

Hello Denise:

On the Throttle Controle Bracket; Remove the Governor Spring from the Pivot and Attach the Throttle Cable Directly to the Governor Spring. When the Throttle Cable is Moved, it Pulls the Spring and the Spring Pulls the Governor Arm. Attaching the Throttle this Way Prevents Engine Damage Due to Engine Over Rev by Allowing the Governor to Function.
