Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mower wont start?, murray riding mower, spec numbers
QuestionHi there,
I recently went to start my murray riding mower and it wont start Ive replaced the starter silenoid, ignition, battery. I have gas flowing and im getting spark! Ive also checked all saftey switches and seem to be good, I did notice a starter bolt fell out, so i replaced it. Im wondering if the timing coud be off? And if so how do i fix it. Any thing would help!
Thank you for your time
Jacob
AnswerHello Jacob:
Is the Engine Turning 3/4 Turn and then Slowing/Stopping/Dragging for 1/4 Turn and Then Turns Good 3/4 Turn and then Slows/Stops/Drags for 1/4 Turn? If Yes, then the Valves Require Adjusting so the Compression Release can Operate Properly. Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The Model Numbers May be Stamped Into the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) Above the Spark Plug. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.
Good Luck
