Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): troy built drive pulley, briggs and stratton, drive pulley

the drive belt pulley that is on the crankshaft on top of the pto on a 1999 troy built,42 inch deck, 19 horsepower briggs and stratton wont come off the crankshaft so i can change the belt.any insight

Did you remove the large crankshaft bolt holding the pulley to the engine?

Normally, I have a helper depress the clutch pedal to loosen the belt allowing the belt to slip off the pulley.

Can you send me the mower model number, xxx-xxx-xxx, so I can see which drive system you have.
