Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Wheelhorse kohler engine, wheelhorse tractor, proper manuals

I have a 1981 c-85 WheelHorse tractor and an 8 hp kohler engine.  The starter does not engage with the flywheel, it only spins.  Is the starter fixable or do i have to replace it.

Usually this is a Bad Drive Gear. Replace the Drive Gear Assembly. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower and the Model and Type (Spec) Numbers Off the Engine, Please.
