how do you replace a broken rod on a 19hp b&s engine

It may be cheaper and faster to replace the short-block or the whole engine.

I would recommend purchasing a $10.00 repair manual off Ebay if you want to replace the rod.
Do you have a diverse assortment of hand tools, an air compressor, impact guns, torque wrenches and feeler gauges?  If so, then you have most of the tools you need.
Let me know if you have the necessary tools and if you have some mechanical experience.
