Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snapper Riding Mower Clutchline, snapper riding mower, riding lawnmower
QuestionFirst off, thanks for your help. I recently purchased a snapper 10.5 HP "convertible" riding lawnmower with a combo clutch/brake pedal. The mower shifts (poorly, but capable of changing gears) when I first start it, but during use loses driving power when mowing very tall grass. Once it stops/stalls I can only get it to go in reverse. The gear shifter has been somewhat difficult, even when working ok. Do I just need to replace the clutch cable? Can I tighten it somehow? I am a novice with small engine/mower mechanics. thanks
AnswerHello Tim:
To Answer this Question, I Require the Model Number Off the Mower, Please. Snapper has Several Different Ground Drive Systems. On Some you can Adjust the Brake/Clutch Cable with Spacers on the Cable at the Brake/Clutch Pedal. To Tighten the Cable, Simply Move a Spacer so it is Behind the Pedal Instead of in Front of the Pedal. Thanks.
