Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Rider - blades wont disengage, craftsman lawn tractor, clutch lever

I have an older Craftsman Lawn Tractor, model 917.255452. The attachment clutch lever will not pull all the way down to disengage the mower blades. I found a spring laying on the mower deck. I think its part 133435 Spring, Extension, Return. The spring is not broke. It just popped off. I know one end hooks on the pivot rod but I don' know where the other end hooks. My owner's manual does not have a drawing.

Can you help with a drawing or description so I can re-attach the spring? I am pretty sure it will solve the problem.
