Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman LT1000 lawn Tractor, craftsman lt1000 lawn tractor, plug fire

Question
The tractor starts fine, but after about 10-15 min of mowing, it idles rough and stalls. If I wait 20 min it runs fine and fails again.

Check the Gas Tank Cap. Make Sure it is Venting the Tank Properly. When the Mower Quits, Does the Spark Plug Fire? If Yes, then What Happens if you Pour a Small Amount (1oz) of Gas Into the Carburetor Throat? If it Starts and Quits, then the Carburetor Solenoid May be Bad. If No Fire to the Plug, then the Coil/Magneto is Most Likely Bad. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model and Type Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Engine you Wish to View. Hope this Helps.
