Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Noma 16-43 signature lawn tractor 2ws, forward speed, cub cadet

Question
This Noma mower is 8-9 years old and now I have lost most of the forward speed. Going up hills is even worse, and seems to be getting slower each time I need to mow. I think I need to make an adjustment to the transmission, but not sure how to do this. I'm thinking about buying a new Cub Cadet that cost around $2,500.00 or getting this fixed. I'm not sure if it's worth putting money in such an old mower.Thanks, Dave
