Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snapper hi vac, battery cables, hp engine

My dad gave me a snapper hi vac riding mower.  It has a new tecumseh 8 hp engine (rear).  it will crank but not start.  new battery, cables, starter, ignition switch, starter button.  I am in need of help.

Hello Adam:

Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. From your Description, it Sounds Like a Safety Switch. Remove the Shut Off Wire from the Coil and Start the Engine. If it Runs, then a Safety Switch or the Ignition Switch is the Cause. The Model Numbers will Assist me to Assist you. Thanks.
