Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ryobi 990r string trimmer wont maintain full throttle, william don, magical cure

I've had this for a few years and even right out of the box it would never maintain full throttle for more than 15 or 20 seconds.  It idles fine but wants to die if I open the throttle too quickly.  Any suggestions.

One of the problems with being "the Truthmeister" is that I have to tell the truth. Sometimes the truth hurts.
The trimmer you bought is junk! It didn't even run good out of the box. You are experiancing the pain of getting what you paid for.
A "good" trimmer that you can count on for years can only be bought at a dealership. It will cost at least 200.00.
