Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 25 HP Kohler Engine, kohler engine, dieseling

Sir,  I have a Craftsman Garden Tactor (917.275223) with a 25 hp Kohler engine (CV724-69551). My problem is dieseling (engine continues to run after turning off the ignition). I just performed a tune up and also made sure that I had fresh fuel. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello Terry:

Do you Allow a Cool Down Run Time of At Least 2 Minutes After a Hard Operation Before Shutting Down the Engine? Which Style Muffler is In this Engine? Is it the Cigar or Pancake Style? There May be Carbon on the Cylinder or Head that Causes this to Occur. Does this Engine have the Fuel Shut Off Solenoid in the Base of the Carburetor? Thanks.
