Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): older Toro riding mower, question pool, safety switch

Hi!  When I start the engine it runs just fine, but when I put in reverse or forward it will not run. Is there a safety switch that I am not aware that could be bad? It has run and worked good the last 6 years. Do you some idea that might help me. Thank you very much Larry.

Hello Larry:

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. Check the Seat Safety Switch. Unplug the Switch and Jumper the Harness. There is an Interlock Relay on Some Toro's that Goes Bad Also. You can Locate a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/default.cfm. Hope this Helps.
