Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Weed Eater Barracuda (Model# 2595) Impeller Replacement, weed eater, bolt nut
QuestionThe impeller on my electric Weed Eater Barracuda (Model# 2595) broke. I was able to order a replacement impeller through Sears. I have taken the Weed Eater apart, but I cannot get the old impeller off. Is there a trick to removing and replacing the impeller on this thing ? Thanks for your help.
AnswerHello Ken:
Its Been a While for the Electric Ones. However, If there is a Bolt Holding the Impeller Onto the Armature, then a Puller is Required. I Made a Special Puller Just for the Impellers. If there is No Bolt/Nut, then the Impeller Turns Reverse Rotation of the Operation Rotation for Removal. The Armature will need to be Removed from the Housing and Held in a Wood Jawed Vice. Then Us a Strap Wrench and Turn the Impeller. A Leather Belt and a 1/2' Drive Ratchet and 6' Extension Make a Good Strap Wrench, if you Don't have One. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
Good Luck
