Question
Tractor drains battery flat and stalls out after a couple of hours mowing. shows that its charging before engaging mower deck. I have replaced the relay for charging and battery.

 Hello Dale:

 If the Deck being Engaged is Draining the Battery, then the Problem is the Stator Is Not Large Enough to Generate the Amps Required for Proper Operation. There are 2 Different Amp Stators used on this Engine. You Most Likely have the Smaller Amp Stator. If this is a Problem that has Just Started, then Replace the Stator. Since you have Already Replaced the Regulator we have Taken it Out of the Equation. The Only Way a Battery will Drain During Operation is if the Amps Coming in to the Battery are Less than the Amps Going Out of the Battery. A Weak Stator can Cause this. Hope this Helps.
