Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): setting valves for a murray riding mower, nubers, type numbers

I need to set the valves for my lawn mower. I need to know the settings. Can you help? here are the nubers I have 42A707,1653-01,9609-1658.

 Hello Ray:

 The Simplest Setting is as Follows. Set the Engine to Top Dead Center. Then Set the Intake Valve to .003in - .005in and the Exhaust to .008in - .010in. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine at this Addy http://shop.briggsandstratton.com/BShopProductListingPage.asp?rsvp=0&PARENTID=0&... and Enter the Model Numbers 42A707 and the Type Numbers 1653 and Click Search.
