2000,scott 17hp alternator burn out. replace with new,yet it to will not charge.checked ground checked wires.i am missing something any idea.  tom

 Does this Engine have a Voltage Regulator? Send me the Make, Model and Type Numbers Off the Engine and the Make and Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manuals and Better Assist you. Thanks.
