Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 12hp Kohler Exhaust valve clang, valve clearance, exhaust valve

Question
I pulled the valve cover and can see that the exhaust valve clangs in mid stroke. Any ideas on the fix for this problem?

 Reset the Valve Clearance. Go to this Addy http://www.tecumsehpower.com/CustomerService/BSI.pdf The Valve Clearance Specifications are Listed Here.
