Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): cv4905 engine swap, crankshaft diameter, type numbers

I have a kohler 17hp engine that I blew up this weekend by not checking the oil..(I know, I know) but I found a brand new 17.5 hp CV4915 57509 will it fit on my lawnmower are these two engine interchangable....thank you...if not where can I find another cv4905

 Hello Shae:

 If the Crankshaft Diameter and Length are the Same, then the Engine will Interchange with you Old Engine. You Didnt Send the Model and Type Numbers Off the Old Engine so I Couldnt Compare the Crankshaft Info. Hope this Helps. I am Here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.
