Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sears SP Lawnmower Belt Replacement, self propelled lawnmower, blade holder

Hi Jeff,
Have a Sears Model 917.378410 Self propelled lawnmower that needs a belt replacement. I can remove the top cover but cannot remove the bottom cover.  The owners manual is useless. I have the blade removed but cannot remove the blade holder in order to remove the belt cover.  Any hints?

we use a  puller.   you on  other hand may not have one,  so that makes it hard.
 my  only other advise  is spay it good with  wd40   or a  liquid wrench penitrating   oil.  let it sit,  and try and tap  it off with small hammer,  on a down stroke.  it should  come off,   other then that you may  need to go to sears   and buy a small 2 jaw puller.
