Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro snow blower, spark tester, snow blower
QuestionI have small toro blower this year I changed plug and put new gas oil mix in and I pull and pull cord and not any sound it even wants to start, there is no filter on this one, I turn key to right open choke on this warm day getting ready before the snow comes, and prime maybe too many times? and then pull and pull and nothing not even a indication it wants to start what have I done wrong?
Answersounds like a carb. problem. if these things set around without being started all year they gum up inside. But first i,d check if you are getting spark to plug. remove it, holding plug body to engine block somewhere pull on cord to see if it is sparking..... or use a spark tester. if you do, then thats okay. if plug looks bad, repalce. and put back into engine. you may try a small amount of starting fluid sprayed into carb. if it runs off, at times it will draw fuel into carb. and begin to work again in time. if that wont do it????? carb. needs to be removed and serviced inside.
