Questioni have an airens snowthrower-only 2 years old, and when i was snowblowing it backfired, and a huge flame shot out the muffler,and it died, i restarted it, but in a few seconds it started to backfire again, it keeps running, but i turned it off, as not to damage it. any ideas what it is?

it is sounding to me to be a valve lash problem. valves heat up, and expand not closing or setting right. you whould need to check valve clearence at stems. reseat valves and regrind stems to correct clearences .
