QuestionHi Jeff, Thanks for the reply.
It seems if I hit the primer bulb every couple of minutes it will stay running indefinitely, although I haven't seen it under a load yet ( no snow ). Does this reinforce your opinion of a dried out diaphragm? Thanks again.

-----Question-----
Hi Jeff,
I have a TORO S200 snowthrower with the AH520 Tecumseh engine, built 79-84 with a diaphragm carb. It starts and runs fine for 5 minutes and then quits. Has fresh gas/oil at 32:1 and new plug. Bought used last year and guy told me he had redone carb. Any ideas? Thanks

guy told you he had it done?
well if fuel sat in this all year without running it from time to time, you need to do it again diaphram probally dried out in carb.
Answeryes sir,
sure does. you need a kit for it. go to your local napa store. give them the numbers and they can get you. it wont cost more the $12 to $15 dollars. redo it, you should be fine.
also check out the fuel filter in the tank, should be on the fuel line. clean it.
hope this helps you, good luck
