Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): gas trimmers, gas hedge trimmer, merry christmas and happy new year

Question
I have a Sears gas hedge trimmer.   When I depress the gas priming bulb it will not pop up again (it stays depressed) and I can not press it a second time to get the machine primed. What can be done?  Is there some vent that is plugged?

 Hello Paul:

 Has the Filter in the Tank been Replaced Lately? If Not, Then Remove the Filter and Try the Primer With the Filter on the Pickup Hose. If the Primer Works, then the Filter is Clogged. If it Doesn't, then the Carburetor needs to be Cleaned and Rebuilt. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks. Be Safe.
