-----Question-----
I have a 12HP Briggs and Stratton engine in a Weedeater riding mower, model 282707, type 0167 01. There are two screws on the carburetor, where are they supposed to be positioned? I think they have been turned. I was wondering if there's a setting for them (perhaps, screw all the way down and then unscrew a turn and a half, something to that nature, something I can do myself). I don't know too much about engines, but I know the mower started before the screws were turned. Thanks, Jamie

you are no track. 1 and 1/2 turns out from bottom. idle screw as needed. if its getting fuel and fire it should run.
tweak screws slightly after it is running. mainly giving fuel needle a little more or less.
Answerthere is 3 screws. the idle is the small one up top of carb. with spring on it that goes against the thottle shaft.
the small of the 2 you are thinging of > and should be on side of carb. is the air mixture. the one on bottom of carb. is the fuel mixture.
i hope this helps
