Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): throttle issues, snapper rider, briggs stratton
Questioni unscrewed the governor on my throttle and now cannot get it adjusted correctly. it idles super high or low. i have a 14 hp Briggs & Stratton rear engine Snapper rider. is there a website or online book with schematics of the engine i could look at? thanks for your help. scott
Answer Hello Scott:
Loosen the Governor Arm and Turn the Governor Shaft Clockwise and Using the Governor Hold the Carburetor Full Open. Lock the Governor Arm to the Shaft. Make sure the Shaft is Turned as Far as Possible when Locking the Arm to the Shaft. If the Engine Revs High then Simply Loosen the Governor Arm and Reverse the Shaft Rotation and the Governor will be Set. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine at this Addy http://shop.briggsandstratton.com/BShopProductListingPage.asp?rsvp=0&PARENTID=0&... and Enter the Model and Type Code and Click Search. Then Scroll Down to the Second Listing and Click on View PDF. This will Download the Breakdown/IPL for you to View Online. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks. Be Safe.
Good Luck
