Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): homelite vac attack blower, crank case, gasket

Question
engine will not "uptake " fuel. have done all the usual ...carb repair,crank case gasket replaced,checked for muffler restriction etc.also checced gasket between carb spacer and engine.
do you know what compression I should have? mabe problem?
