Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Removal of valve guides in a B+S 5 HP, valve guides, installation tool

Question
What is the procedure to remove valve guides from a 5 hp B+S engine.  The replacement guides are about 1.75 inches long and are thin walled.  Any tips on this procedure?

 Hello Walter:

 You Really Require the Valve Guide Removal and Installation Tool Kit. This has All the Proper Tools for Removing and Installing New Valve Guides. I have Tried Several Different Procedures Without this Tool Kit and None have Worked. You will be Better Off Taking this Engine to a Shop and have them Install the Guides. Hope this Helps.
