Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Gardenway by Troy Bilt 22 HP, gardenway, foot on the gas

Question
I picked up this mower without a manual.  A part or belt broke while mowing.  The engine runs but when I put my foot on the gas nothing happens.  Is this a belt or spring that broke?  Where could I view a parts diagram to know what I need and where can I get a manual for this mower.
