Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn tractor, riding lawn mower, jumper cable

i have a craftmans riding lawn mower, and it won't start when i turn the key. the battery is new i've tried too repalce the ignition switch silnoid and it still won't start. could it be the starter? i can jump it by connecting the jumper cable directly to the starter and it will start please help.

 Hello Duane:

 Check the Clutch Safety and Seat Safety Switches. Jumper the Clutch Safety First, then the Seat Safety. Send me the Model Numbers Off of the Mower, Please.
