Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mower problem, crankcase oil, gas vapors
Question Craftsman 6.75 Tecumseh mower wouldn't stop leaking gas through carb. Tried re-assembly a few times and then got it to start and run...seemingly fine. But there is now considerable gas in the oil.
Options, suggestions...worth the trouble?
Thank you,
Answer Hello Brad:
Have you Installed a New Carburator Kit? From your Description it Sounds like the Carburator Float Needle Isnt Seating Properly. Clean and Rebuild the Carburator. Soak the Carburator Overnight in Cleaning Solution(Gunk carburator cleaner) and then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. Install New Kit. Change the Crankcase Oil and Allow the Crankcase to Vent for 24 hrs to Clear the Gas Vapors from the Crankcase. Then Refill with Oil. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
Good Luck
