QuestionI just discovered gas in the crankcase when changing the oil. Is this caused by carburater?
Thanks
AnswerHi Tom,
You are correct. Gas in the crankcase is usually caused by either a fuel-logged float or a leaky needle and seat. In each case, the fuel doesn't shut off and overflows into the engine.
Remove the float bowl and take a look. If the float looks good, I would replace the needle and seat.
Let me know how you make out.
