Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): String Trimmer Problems, exhaust port, string trimmer
QuestionHi John, thanks for the quick response. I purchased the trimmer from Lowes. The model # is TB20CS. I checked for fire at the plug and there was none. I also noticed quite a bit of oil around the plug. Thanks again for your help!!!

Please help - I know very little about these engines - I have a Troy Built String Trimmer that I bought new less than two years ago. It has a two-cyle engine. It started about a month ago, but I cannot get it to start at all now. I have replaced the spark plug, but still no luck. Fuel appears to be moving through the lines as it should when I prime it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hello Jason:
Remove the Spark Plug and Check for Fire at the Plug. Send me All the Model Numbers Off of the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate a Breakdown and Better Assist you. Thanks.

Answer Hello Jason:
Remove the Muffler and Check the Exhaust Port for Blockage. You should be Able to see the Cylinder and Piston when you Look in the Exhaust Port. Check the Muffler and Spark Arrestor Screen for Blockage. The Spark Arrestor Screen is in the Muffler. If these are Clear, then then Carburator needs to be Cleaned and Rebuilt. Check the Engine Carefully for More Model Numbers, Please. The Ones you sent me were not Listed Online or in my Manuals. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.
