Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Echo blower - no spark, echo pb, addy
QuestionI am troubleshooting a recent problem with my Echo PB-400e (serial 224581) where it won't start. There is no spark to the plug. I have put in a new plug and still no spark. I suspect that it is the ignition coil of the CDI module. Since each of these are expensive to replace I need to determine how to test each one.
Thank you
Answer Hello Ashley:
Disconnect the Shutoff Switch and Check for Fire at the Plug. Most times the Loss of Spark is the Ignition Module or a Bad Switch or the Wires from the Switch to the Coil and Module. A Coil going Bad is Rare. I Suggest you Replace the Module if the Shutoff Switch and Wires are Good. You can View a Breakdown at this Addy http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Click on Parts Look Up. Then Follow the Instructions to see the Breakdown for your Blower. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. I enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.
Good Luck
