Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kohler generator wont stay running, larson cabrio, oil safety

5KW kohler generator starts, runs for a minute or two, then pops and chokes out.  It is for a 2001 larson cabrio boat.  we can't figure out why it won't stay running.

 Hello Rick:

 Send me the Model Numbers Off of the Generator and Off of the Engine, Please. With these Numbere I can View a Breakdown of the Engine and Better Assist You. However, Check for Fire at the Plug. If the Plug is Firing, then Most likely the Carburator needs to be Cleaned and Rebuilt. If No Fire at the Plug, then the Coil/Ignition Module/Igniter May be Bad. Is the Oil Level Good? The Low Oil Safety Sensor May be Bad Also. Hope this Helps. Let em know what Happens, Please. I really Enjoy knowing the Outcome. Thanks.
