Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): murray 42 inch cut, 16 horsepower, model numbers, spark plug

my rider will not start.  no spark comes from the spark plug.  there is a new plug in it.

 Hello Stephen:

 Check the Safety Switches. Disconnect the Coil Shutoff Wire at the Connection Nearest the Coil and check for Spark. Send me the Model Numbers Off of the Mower and Off of the Engine, Please. With the Numbers I can View a Breakdown of the Mower and the Engine and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
