Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Crafstman Lawn mower motor dies when take foot off brake, dana transaxle, shift gears

Question
Have a16.5 Horsepower Crafstman with Dana Transaxle.  Has operated fine, and could figure most things out when something goes wrong.  When I start engine and shift gears, motor dies when I release braKE. I have looked under mower and can't figure thisout---belts arefine, everything seems to be working aas it should  Need some help, it's in the clutch/brake system I think.

 Hello Cole:

 You will need to Remove the Cutter Deck and Check the Harness and Make sure that the Linkage Is Not Pinching the Harness when the Clutch/Brake is Moved. I have had Several Craftsman Questions and Most were Pinching the Harness or were Rubbing the Harness and Causing the Same Problem you are having. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.
