Weedeater GTI 19. Just started making a ratcheting/grinding sound in what sounds like the clutch area but it only does it at complete idle. Anything off idle and it runs fine. Something to do with centrifigul force maybe but I took it apart and the only thing I could find was two spring loaded levers behind the pulley housing that were a little rusty/sticky. Lubed and freed them up and it's still there. Thoughts? Thanks
George

Hello George:
Have you had Any Trouble with the Pull Starter not Catching or Catching and then Releasing? The Starter Dogs will make a Ratcheting Sound if the Get Dirty and Are not Releasing Properly. They may need to be Cleaned and Lubed. The 2 Spring Loaded Levers are the Clutch. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.

Answer Hello George:
If you go to this Addy and Look at the Parts Breakdown, you will be able to see the Flywheel; http://www.odref.com/poulan/pdf/WEEDEATER/GASTRIMMERS/gt119.pdf If this addy doesnt Load, then go to http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Follow the Links to the Page that I gave you the Addy for. Where is says Dont Have Part Numbers, CLICK HERE. Then Click Gas Trimmer. Then Scroll Down to find your Trimmer Model. The Starter Dogs are located on the Flywheel. They Engage with the Starter to Turn the Flywheel. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.
