QuestionMy lawn tractor has been shutting down after about 20-30 mins of running. It won't start up again when I try to start it within a few hours. It starts up again the next day (apparently when completely cool) It is very frustrating
AnswerHiya Mike-
Two tests-
1- Run it until it quits, pull the air filter off, squirt a small amount of gas in it and try to crank it. If it cranks, you have a fuel pump problem. If it dosen't- go to step two.
2- Pull the plug, ground it, crank it and look for a spark. If no spark, you have a bad ignition module or coil. If it has a spark- you have a valve lash problem.
Lemme know what you find!
