Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman 32cc weedwacker pull cord, handy guy, cluch
QuestionHello John,
I went on the internet and found your reply back to a gentleman with the same problem that I have. You told him that you have a special tool that you use to remove the clutch assy to get to the pull cord attach. I'm a pretty handy guy and have pullers. Can you tell me what you're doing? How does the cluch assy attach itself to the shaft? Is it threaded? looking down the end of the shaft it looks like it is attached with a single screw. The manual does not show a screw...how do you get the clutch assy off? Where did you get your special tool? thanks, s.
Answer Hello Shawn:
It is Threaded and the Special Tool Holds the Clutch Bell and Allows for the Clutch Socket to Loosen the Clutch. Most of my Tools came from 2 Places: 1- http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and 2- Dixie Mower Sales which I have learned has Gone out of Business. Some MAC Tool Sales and Snap-on Tool Sales might be able to help also. Hope this Helps.
Good Luck
Respectfully
John
