QuestionDear Allen:
A friend of mine recently gave me a Craftsman tractor Model #917271090. It starts up and the blades move put when I put it into forward or reverse, it does not move. Can this be the transmission or the clutch?
Also, do you know of any site I can get a manual or diagram of this engine?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Anthony
AnswerHiya Anthony
Actually- Sears has a link on their website that will give you a diagram of the major assemblies of your tractor.
copy paste this link
http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/vertical.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=LAWN
Go to parts (lower left). In next window enter your model number (upper left box) you'll see your model, clik "go"
you'll get a list of options for diagrams, choose ground drive and have a look.
You likely need a new drive belt, tensioning spring, or perhaps to simply put the belt back on a pulley its slipped off of.
Lemme know what you find!
