Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Fuel Pump Hook-up, briggs stratton, electric pulse
QuestionI am installing a fuel pump on my Briggs/Stratton replacement engine (Model 284707, 12 HP). It is a pulse type pump (Model 808656). I have the bracket, fuel inlet and outlet attached, but where do I get the vacuum/pulse from? I need to run a pipe to supply the vacuum/pulse to power the pump; but where is the fitting located?
Thanks,
D. Furr
Answer Hello David:
If the Engine was Designed for the Vaccum/Pulse Fuel Pump, it should have a Vaccum Port on the Intake Between the Carb and the Engine. If not then u need to get an Electric Pulse Pump (4 to 7psi). I dont use the Vaccum/pulse Pump. Ive had to many Returns on the Vaccum/Pulse Pumps. Hope this Helps.
Good Luck
