Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere stx38, john deere stx38, shaft bearings

runs fine until I push button to engage mower. Then kills every time. Help please

Sounds like you need to check :
1-blades for stuck debris (chunk of wood etc)
2-drive belt on pullies & not off & hung up
3-blade shaft bearings (they'll be held with a braking system-you'll need to engage the deck mower off of course)
