Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): how to take the govoner off, govoner, throttle plate
QuestionI have a 12hp murry with no blades ,rideing lawn mower and i wanted to take the govoner off and i was wondering how to do it.Could you tell me how to take it off?
AnswerHi Jake,
The governer unit is in the crankcase and attaches to the throttle through linkage. You could disconnect it at any point and allow the throttle lever to open and close the carb throttle plate. Be careful to not overrev the engine or it will blow.
