I have an older Craftsman Eager-1 lawn mower, model number 917.378233.  After priming it, it would start right up but die right away.  I took the carborator apart and cleaned it.  It still won't run after initial start up unless I vigorously push the mower back and forth and even then it's almost like it starts and stops, starts and stops.  Any suggestions?

Sorry for my delay.  It was a busy holiday here.

I would say that there is still something clogging the carb.  Possibly, the float may be sticking or out of adjustment.

I am swamped with questions and can't give follow up answers until next week.  Sorry.
