Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Riding Mower, ht 3810, check oil

Idiot that I am, didn't check oil and seized engine.  How difficult to change the bearings and/or the pistons/rings on this HT 3810?  Or replace the entire engine?

Hi Keith,

I would try to free it up and run it as is, if it's not scuffed too bad.  Otherwise, being a large engine compared to a smaller and less enpensive push mower engine, rebuilding instead of replacing, might be cost effective.  I would disassemble it and check it out.  You probably would only need to replace the pistons and rings and hone the cylinder.
