Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman 7.0 Briggs & Stratton Mulching Mower, briggs stratton, hammock stand
QuestionBeing the genius I am, I accidentally hit our hammock stand while mowing. The mower immediately stopped running. After a few pulls, it started again, but with an obvious knocking sound. I'm reluctant to try to mow with it in this condition. Is this something I can repair or do I need a professional or a new mower?
AnswerHi Matt,
Check the blade for any looseness. Check the flywheel for the same. After that, I would suspect internal damage. You could continue to run it or disassemble it and look for damage. It all depends on how old the mower is and if you want to bother with repair.
Let me know how you make out.
